Default 205/55R16 on 16x8?

Should I run into any problems with this setup? I bought some Gramlights, but can't afford new tires for awhile and figure I would just swap my 2009 OEM tires.

Just not sure if 205 is too narrow for 16x8"

d00000d...the tires suck...and are too narrow for an 8" wheel

that will be stretched all to helll

Yeah I may have bit more than I can chew. Really wish they were 7.5
Should've q'ed the local tire shop before I plunked down the cash.

Also Test fitted and looks like rear clearance is fine, not so much on the front.

it isnt the size...it is the offset

an 8" wheel on that car is fine....but not with a low offset

see if you can swap for a higher offset wheel

those wheels---in higher offset.... and a 245/45 tire would be great

Hmm the offset is +45. I was also abit concerned since their was about less than a inch touching the struts in the front. I wonder if I would rub anything using 225's and stock susp.

I know the previous owner said he ran 245's but with coil overs and rolled fenders on his wagon.

205/55/16 is a mere 0.88% wider than an 8.0" rim. Spec is >5% for a 55 sidewall. People mount further from spec than that around here but definitely a bad stretch.

Thanks for the advice so far. Decided to wait out till I can afford proper tires.
Although the local tire shop said it should be fine, but risk having tire leaks.

I'd be looking at 235/45/16 tires for those rims btw assuming they are indeed +45. Not ideal but not bad. How light? That's the real thing to brag about.
