Front tint? Around here, we get nailed for any sort of front tint... it's lame... but drive an hour to cross the border and tonnes of cars have it

Does anyone have pics of where they stuffed the tape/cloth/paper into? I don't wanna blindly start shoving things in the trunk.

I noticed that if I fold down the rear seats the ratting goes away so it has something to do with the seats hitting the rear deck or something in the rear deck itself not getting as much vibration from the seats which are closer to the suspension and could be transferring the vibration.

I am definately not putting subs in this car's trunk as it would be a nightmare like my last sedan with rattles (98 Jetta VR6), but I am getting underseat subs by BOSS or Blapunkt (sp?) soon

I got it from http://www.visualgarage.com/. All they do is make sharkfin antennas. They did a great job. They color match it to your color code too n it matched perfect.

This is a gallery thread...for posting photos, not for talking about "how tos." If you post in the "interior and exterior modification" or "electrical and lighting" threads you might find out what you want to know. though no idea why you'd want to do that anyhow...

this has bothered me for as long as ive owned it. it rattles non stop. its ridiculous. i took the car to the dealer and it never rattled once on the test drive with a tech. when we got back to the dealership the trunk wouldn't open. so i waited for them to fix the trunk and left. on the way home the rattle came back full force. next time i hear it im not going to ignore it or stuff a paper towel in between the deck. im just going to drive straight to the dealer.

that was hella funny, "oh ****!" i think you have to stay more on the throttle when it starts to rotate and feather the gas once you are in control of the slide. nice vid though, looks fun

I can not wait to get some snow on the ground and have some fun. I want to learn how to drive a AWD car better.

Yeah I need to practice the AWD sliding. The parking lot was patchy ice...and I just put on some brand new winter tires. I am ready for snow now.

The passenger doesn't trust me at times. That's not the first time he's said that in my car. I was drifting around an exit ramp in my old S2000 and got a little close to the guard rail...he said it a lot louder that time. lol

i am aware that this is a gallery thread. there has been plenty of "how to" talk in this thread. there has also been conversations on other subjects besides photos. its not that serious; if someone has an answer to my question they can post it. if they dont have an answer, they dont need to worry about it. photos and off topic conversations can keep coming like they have been.

i want to do it for aesthetic value. the drl's dont serve much purpose in the daylight anyway so i thought i would like them to be hid's.

Just disconnect them. Here is a picture of what you are looking.

See the thing with the two connectors and the fins on it. That is what you want to disconnect. It is right behind the passenger side front bumper.

I have quieted mine a lot, if not completely.
  • I took some rags and stuffed them in that large hole under the deck in the center
  • There is a small hole (to the right of the big one, it very small) next to a black clip that i stuffed
  • Then on the inside, i stuffed rags in and around the driver side anchor
  • Under the deck on the driver side, just pry it open a little and stuff it.
