^^ I like the look, though those wheels must have an uber-conservative offset. Some 10mm spacers would improve the appearance considerably.

If the were 18's with a lower offset to push them out a little more (NO not "hella flush") they would look great. Thought about using spacers?

It depends on what size you get. The concave ones have a lower offset and are wider. For example, my Grids are 18x8.5" +44 and while you might think they look flat in pics, they actually have some concave to them in real life. I like how the degree of concavity they have, it looks very well done. The ones that are REAL concave are 18x9.5" +38 (lower offset and wider than mine) - but I have no interest in running a 9.5" wheel.

My car is 100% daily driver; it never sees the track. I have no reason to run anything wider than a 235 tire and a 235 tire will look stretched as hell on a 9.5" wheel. For a car that never sees the track, a 9.5" wheel would slow you down because you're increasing the unsprung weight/mass. To do that and run skinny tires is counterproductive with respect to performance, but many people think it looks good so they do it (the hellaflush movement).

Lovin all the pics and posts in here...really got me excited to get back home to my WRX! Im deployed right now and have nothing but time to research and buy what I want for my car when I get home. Here is a list of mods I plan to get shipped to the house so when I get home I can DO WORK!

1-17" Tenzo Tracer 5 Spoke black rims wrapped in toyo tires (Purchased)
2-Cobb access Port
3-Perrin catback dual exhaust STEALTH
4-Short shifter can't decide on which
5-H&R springs
6-F&R sway bars (still deciding on size and brand...ideas??!)
7-Painting all the chrome to match or just removing them completely
8-Any other suggestions are welcome

Kartboy Short Shifter

Get the springs first before sway bars--see what they recommend to go with the springs. I don't know much about H&R, but also check out Epic and Swift--may not be as big of a drop, but they're to perform very well.

Thanks on the input, I was leaning towards the kartboy actually. After looking around more, now im kinda undecided on suspension. What are the advantages over coilovers compared to springs? Just the ability to adjust ride height more than anything...or is it an overall better ride? I have my lil man riding in the back somedays and I dont want him bouncing all over the place with a stiff ride.

Those boxers are the same in the same way both cars are categorized as cars. No comparison!

Does anybody know if the people who blew thier springs were tracking thier car or using it as a daily driver? Ive put nearly a years worth of dd on my h&r springs and they havent blown yet so im wondering if those "horror" stories about springs were true?

Posted pics about a month ago of my '10 SWP WRX. Since then I've added KW Variant 3 coilovers, custom tune by Mike Warfield at GST Motorsports and hand painted badges. Next week comes the Perrin Stealth CBE, Perrin Equal Length Header, Perrin up pipe and AVO TMI. With just a Cobb catted dp and AP it's making 255 WHP and 298ft lbs. After the next round of goodies it should be making 320whp. It's getting close!

ya theres 2 things my bug and my wrx had in common, both stick, both were flat fours. its funny too because i always loved wrx's and sti's so i custom welded an exhaust with VERY unequal length headers. i had the rear cylinders wrap around the motor and meet the ones in the front. it was funny because it actually sounded like a wrx. i know a guy that put a 2007 sti motor BUILT in a 1966 bug. 700whp...haha its rwd so it has a traction problem but the thing is monster fast!!
