Anyone else get this? Second time now for me. First time I just wiggled number 3 (back left if facing the engine at the front of the car). Cleared code with my AP and shazzam smooth idle again. Then last night as I'm on my way out for a date (already late) I get it again. My underground has ****ty lighting, wiggled it again, no luck. F....went on date with three cylinders..not far, 2 minute drive both ways, took it ease. This morning get a flashlight and the wire was OUT. Plugged it back in, cleared code and shazzzam..back to normal. Anyone else getting this? I'm not sure how the wire is loosening out as it clips in. Well, got it down pat now, happens again and it is a quick fix.

I doubt you've changed your plugs being a 09. Worked in that area under the hood lately? Isn't it a ignition pack on the 09FXT? How can it just worked itself loose?

Wait, I'm confuzzled. Are you saying the 09 XT has spark plug wires? All XT's to date are coil-on-plug... or are you talking about something else?

The wire going to the coil-pack was unplugged. Completely loose, dangling like my willy in boxers. The first time it must have just been slightly loose but still plugged in because I just jiggled the coil-pack and all was well. This time the wire was FULLY out so I clipped it back in. I have not worked on the engine. I did have a DP put in but it was ages before the issue. I suppose it is possible it could have been slightly loosened then and just got more so but it seems odd that it would take so long.

Anyhoo, all fixed and no issue since.

DP install shouldn't come close to messing around with your coil packs. But I suppose anything is possible.

There might be lesbians / women in here, don't be so sexist.

My thoughts exactly which is why I am not attributing it to the install and wondering if anyone else has had theirs loosen off at all. Luckily it was #3 which is the most accessible.

I abused my FXT when I had it and nothing electrical ever came loose. Actually, nothing mechanical ever came loose either from all the work on it.
