new tires?

I'm looking to possibly get a WRX soon, but my Spec-V tires are really bad, about 3/32 tread in the front and 4/32 in back. They are still okay, but not the best in bad weather. I was just going to trade it in, but wonder if the dealers will give me more for my trade if I had better tires on it? I know it probably would'nt be worth it to get new tires, but do you think some good used ones at least in the front would make a difference?

Don't bother. You will never get the tire money back.

You almost always throw money away when you trade a car in. Go to Blue Book, find out what it's worth and sell it after you buy another car. Doesn't matter if the car is cherry or a beater: trade-in is a transaction that the dealership always wins.
