Even on that fuel that seems damn high for a 30R on a Mustang dyno. Not hating, just saying - would love to see some timeslips.

EDIT:
Realized I didn't come across as very constructive. It's just that on our local Mustang Dyno an SR56 STi put down 398/389 on 114 @ 25psi. Every dyno reads differently.

There are better places to take your car in Arizona than Vivid Racing. People will question anything you post from there.

And by better places I mean your local tire shop.

Car looks like fun though

^^^^ lol

When did Vivid start tuning with Accessports?

Also, you should state all of your supporting mods such as injectors.

I haven't had a reason to complain. As far as numbers seeming high, I don't know what to say. Supporting mods include injectors modded up to 900 or 920 something flow, EL header, fmic, pump, pulley, 38mm WG, BOV, and thats about it. ProfecB with a Cobb AP.

I have a number of time slips from firebird lately.. my best trap speed is 116..

weather is just getting so hot out here I think it has more potential..

we all know the disdain for vivid on this website, but let's not rip this guys setup, it looks very well built.

116mph trap means that mustang dyno reads a little high... that sounds more like dynojet power. Not at all talking down your car, or it's power.. just stating that the dyno seems to be a little on the high side of your average mustang dyno... in the end, it's just a dyno number.. if the car runs well and your happy with it then a for you. Sounds like a nice setup... what FMIC did you go with?

the dimensions of the intercooler aren't all that big.. its 3 core but cant recall the ACTUAL manufacturer/fabricator. The plumbing is all done by Agency Powers fabricator (who is a scientist as far as I am concerned)

The trap speeds are my fault.. trying to launch the car instead of rolling it.. I know its got 118-120 in it.

look at my 60' times.. that tells you right there the car isnt being driven correctly. ALSO, new issue with the traction control on the 2008 model.. on hard launches it throws a TC code with TC bypassed.. IDK.

Really, I'm not sure if the LC is different between the WRX and STI but I pulled off a 1.79 60' even with TC on. My best was 1.73. I went to Firebird a few weeks ago.

I admit I am just not the good at driving this car yet.. nice time.. maybe I could get a lesson sometime.

When I choose a clutch setup I wont be so hesitant to launch it properly.. I launch at 2500 an it falls on its face (hence the lower trap speeds I think)

What dyno should I use to get a number that stands?

nice numbers, yea i tried a 2500 rpm launch fell on my face, but at 5k rpms and a quick slip of the clutch i got my lowest 60ft and my fastest 1/4 mile time of 13.84 on my 09 wrx(stock)

what i would do to have your #'s though, good sh**!!!

Not sure what dynos you have around you in AZ, but I use the Mustang dyno here. It reads a lot lower than most though...since every dyno's different. I'd try out a Dynojet if you can. I have no doubts that's a fast car, but the more realistic the numbers the better. Did Vivid give you a baseline number?

On bald tires, the only way I could get traction is to dump it @ 5K and short shift out of 1st as I'd spin the whole time. What was your 60'?

I nailed a 1.858 on bald 16" all seasons, and promptly missed 2nd.

again, gnarly 60', but different with this car. I launch for a time like that at this status.. it breaks.

Actually I think 116 is a good trap considering the weather conditions. If you can trap 116 out in the heat. When it's like 60 degrees out you'll do 120 no prob.

Thanks, I agree with the heat here.. never use it as an excuse but 110 intake temps... it's def a factor combined with my inability to properly drive the car.

As for Vivid.. there rep was in the past.. they have some incredible techs, fab guys and an incredible subie tuner. IMO

baseline with a cobb down pipe and spt exhaust was 225Whp, cant recall the tq . That was on the Dynocomp stage 2 91 ACN "protune" on Vivids mustang.
