Default What's holding me back?

Just upgraded from a dying TD05 16g to a Blouch TD05(6) 18g 8CM. Torque builds really well to 360lbs at 3600 then dies off quite quickly. HP gets to 318 @ the flywheel and wont go higher. Car is a 05 2.5 Foz XT with STI TMIC, up-pipe, full Milltek TBE and Ecutek Tune.

Tuner says it won't take anymore boost, AFs are 11.5 steady, it won't take anymore timing. It's running 99RON.

I was told to expect slower spool but much more at the top. I've got great spool, 40 ft lbs more but only 17hp more at the crank. I was sort of hoping for 350/360 at the crank or more. Things happen nicely in the first third of throttle movement then stop. More gas or more revs do very little.

The trace is really faint and won't scan. If this should be in the 2.5 Turbo engine section please move it.

Yea maxing out MAF sensor? injectors maxed? Did he tell you why it won't build more boost? ..because it sounds like he is keeping from building more boost because it may be maxing something else out... (That turbo will flow more air)

Stock BCS, intake and injectors (560). Boost is 20 psi peak going down to 16/17. If it's holding 11.5 ish on the AF I'm guessing the injectors aren't flat out and if that were the answer we'd know. The problem seems to be getting any more air into the engine. For whatever reason.

You need a larger diam intake like the APS 70mm intake. This will privide more headroom for the MAF sensor allowing the tuner to map higher. The 560s are not enough and your AFR is to lean now.

Upgrade to a larger cold air intake.
Consider a silcone turbo inlet pipe.
Purchase 850cc injectors.

Retune the car.

dw 880cc injectors
