I highly doubt that. Button is driven to win this and i doubt that any other person will be at his level this weekend

I'll be sad to see this Venue go, that being said, I'm not familiar with Donnington.

Button most likely for the win, I'm thinking. Vettel and Webber have been stirring it up though, so its hard to say who will place behind him. This year has just been crazy!

Isn't it about time Rubens won a race? I think he operated at about a 7-1 ratio against schumi at ferrari so he might be in line for a change of luck. He's also won silverstone before.

Go Rubens?

Go Rubens?
I was thinking about that with the Moto GP race from Barcelona this week. Rossi and Lorenzo (Yamaha teammates) walked the rest of the field but put on an amazing show by racing each other til the last lap. I hope Rubens can begin to challenge JB on track soon.

Going with Button until somebody beats him. Hopefully it will be Jarno.

So my prediction, Button on a parade, as somebody said once...

I want Button to win the British GP, but that will pretty much finish off the season. I am amazed that he has had this level of sucess, even RB is dropping the ball.

You know he wants to win it as well, being his home turf.

Webbo is due but this being the British GP I can't pick him for the top slot. Button and Webber have been my Team Underdogs for years so it's nice to see one of them running away with things...now Webbo just needs to get things rolling.

The Formula One Teams' Association announced on Thursday night that it is setting up a breakaway championship.

Following a four hour meeting at Renault's Enstone factory, the eight members of FOTA said it had grown frustrated with the FIA's stance against it and that it had no option but to create its own championship.

"The teams cannot continue to compromise on the fundamental values of the sport and have declined to alter their original conditional entries to the 2010 World Championship," said a statement.

"These teams therefore have no alternative other than to commence the preparation for a new Championship which reflects the values of its participants and partners. This series will have transparent governance, one set of regulations, encourage more entrants and listen to the wishes of the fans, including offering lower prices for spectators worldwide, partners and other important stakeholders.

"The major drivers, stars, brands, sponsors, promoters and companies historically associated with the highest level of motorsport will all feature in this new series."
Well, that's that. It was nice while it lasted.

+1 Bernie and Max are both overdue for a bullet to the head.

...but the teams aren't committed to a new series as yet. I really, REALLY wish they would break away and stop letting the above characters run wild, but I guarantee it's 90% posturing to get concessions from Max on the regulations. Now, if Max doesn't blink and the deadline looms, will the teams cave to him or *actually* go through with the breakaway? My guess is the former, but make no mistake I would LOVE for it to be the latter.

That's old..before the FOTA announcement.

If you guys want to discuss the mess in here rather then the big F1 thread that's cool but I'm going to try (futile it may be. ) to focus and enjoy the Grand Prix.
