Rally track? Sorry, but been around the sport long? If you meant rallycross, that's different but if you don't recognize the difference and state your question accurately . . . . . .

philly region usually holds only one rallyx per year...i haven't heard about it yet, but it has often been held in october. regular rallyx series are a bit farther. there is a new one in red hook, ny that i haven't been to yet, but i have heard good things about. i have gone to summit point, WV and smithton, PA (and the philly one when it happens, since the track they use is only 15 minutes from me).

if you're not talking about rallycross, you'll need to clarify...

I wouldn't mind seeing a stage rally around Phillly.

SS1 Market Street to Independence Hall

SS2 Incorporate The Wall in Manayunk.

Hell, some of the roads in that city are like the goddamn Dakar. 9_9

But seriously, yeah, the Philly Region thing is the only rallyx that comes to mind.

To Mr OP--

Heh, long drives to rally events--whether stage or rallyX--are just part of the deal. Think of the drive as a rally where you need to behave on public roads before the rally where it's A-OK to drive like a hooligan. This is pretty much how it is on a real rally anyway.

That was last year.

Summit Point is probably your closest regular event. About 3 1/2 hrs.
