Post To Those Following My Rear Wiper On RS Coupe Mod...

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">Look what the Captain got today in the mail

<img src=http://a1060.g.akamai.net/f/1060/597/30minutes/www.zing.com/picture/p96a55675ff0675ea84cf2d86c6dce2c8/fea7348b.jpg.orig.jpg>

It's the control section for an Impreza so equipped with the rear wiper- the control for the arm and the sprayer are all there! So, wiper motor, wiper arm, and controls are all taken care of. And I have a guy looking at my rear window early next week to see about making a hole... everything is coming along. As the Colonel from the ATeam would say "I love it when a plan comes together."

What is stopping you from getting the real glass? Cost? Availability?

Have a Nice Day?

well if he get's real glass...then he'll lose the heating wire filaments.....? and it's just a lot safer in an accident. I can't tell you how many ppl get shreaded by glass in car accidents. EVEN with the tempered "Safety Glass"

Chris, I think that Mike was talking about the glass that already has the hole in it.

Mike, the real glass would have to be inported from Japan or Europe. I wouldn't want to know what the shipping would run on that

Jim, thats what I was talking about. I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap, but then again, neither is that switching mechanism he just got.

How much would you say that you have into it total so far Brian?

I know that I have seen at least 1 post from someone who is importing a crashed WRX, wonder if they will get the rear glass with it?

Mike

Theoreticly, he could have just swipped it off a wrecked OBS. I don't know where he got it though, looks new.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">It's a brand new combo switch, and I'm not telling where it came from until I'm done. The wiper arm/motor was about $60 shipped... isn't eBay wonderful
