Default Stg 1 tune from Keith at AWDTuning.com

I just got back from tuning with Keith. It was really hot and muggy out, and a few parts i ordered didnt come in yet, but im going on vacation for a few weeks and wanted to get it done before the family and i left. Only mod i have is an invidia catless downpipe. My perrin intake and rallitek springs didnt ship until today, but its all good. With a very conservative tune and alot of intercooler heat soak, we pulled out 265 tq and a 223awhp with peak boost at 18psi. It was just under 100 degress outside, with ~75% humidity.

The numbers themselves arent earth shattering, but its really smooth all across the band. Starts spooling right at 2k, peak at 3k and holds 18 psi til around 4200 tapering to ~10 lbs. Ill post a graph as soon as Keith sends me one. Heres the graph:

All in all, very impressed with Keith. On the way home, was getting 27.x mph cruising at 75mph, and took a 350z from a dig and a roll by a few cars by ~90mph.

Thanks so much Keith.
coming soon:
Springs
Sways
Brake pads, lines, fluid
Magnaflow exhaust
Up pipe
Ext wastegate
Intake
Tgv deletes
AND E85

Still not bad for less than $500 spent in go fast mods.

Well, technically it wouldn't be a "stage 1" tune with that aftermarket downpipe. Decent numbers for high humidity and outside temp, though.

The stock axleback on both the WRX and STI is very restrictive. You should be able to get another 30 wtq and 20 whp when you get your full exhaust.

Good numbers! But for the ego factor, you might want to get tuned in the colder months...

im not sure on the 08+ wrx, but the catback on the sti is mostly for bling and sound till you really start hitting higher numbers (350ish +) from all ive read. the catback will probably be one of the last things i do later on.

I do. Take a look at most of the stage 2 2.5L WRX's around here, they all make around 300 WTQ. Although I'm talking new parts as well as a retune here.

Anyway, OP, enjoy the car.

its a td04, with weight corrections for calculations it shojuld be closer to 290lbs i think. in the winter, well over 300. not too bad with stock exhaust, sleeper look ftw.

Yes, I've seen at least 3 guys locally running 08 wrx's (same as me) tuning stage 2 to around 305-315wtq and like 220-225whp
