Damn that sucks... hey, use Google to search for your site and then use it's Cache feature to get the pages back. Not sure about getting the pics, but content means more then graphics sometimes.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

For anyone looking on your computer, it would be under

C://Windows/system/temperary internet files

once there it's best to set the view to list, then click on the URL. That should alphabetize the list. From there, just go down to "U" and see if you have any pages that start with http://www.uniquemotorsports..." If so, would you mind emailing them to me?

Thanks,
Chad

I don't have any copies for you but I did the same thing to my .htaccess file for a bit yesterday- have a log *full* of Internal Server Error messages- nobody could access the site until I fixed up my mixup . I did however blow up my site when it was on Xoom, and oftentimes, hosting companies will save a copy of your stuff as a backup every day and hold on to it for week or 10 days. Have you asked WinSave if they do this? Sorry to hear about the troubles man ...

Edit: This may help too- it's damn near everything but the graphics, and it's from Jan 23, 2002 so it's sort of recent

Once again 8 pulls through. Google has the whole site Cached. It's just a matter of getting the pictures back and doing some minor tweaking to make things work.

On another note, I think I'll stop relying on my friend to do backups.

As for Winsave, they cancelled us since it's actually on my friends card and well, he cancelled that card. They sent him an email saying they'd cancel the site in 48hrs if they don't get a response. He replied that day with a new CC and they did not get the email until today. What's more, they don't have a contact number so all we could do is wait for an email response.

They cancelled the site and deleted all backups yesterday. Today we are paid up with a new CC and once again have access to the site.

If it wasn't such a PITA, we'd switch hosting companies.

Thanks again for all the help, this turned out to be not such a bad thing afterall. I did lose some pictures though, including the much sought after GC8 up pipe pic for a TD04 or IHI RHB5 style of turbo. Oh well, I'll hopefully have another one made up soon. Just waiting on the turbo flang (as usual...).

Heh, I've got two pics for ya... the upipe and the pic at the car show where you're posing with the three chicks. Fortunately I had them cached from the "Unibrow and Coonboy" thread.

Just emailed them off to ya.

Can't afford to lose those pics. The SEMA one is also on Simons website at imprezawrx.org. The coon pics I'll steel from the coonboy thread.

North: That's a great resource. I'll probably use that to pull up most of the pages. Unfortunately my Daewoo section is too new though. I especially like my Intelligent performance article which is based on the Woo but applies to other cars as well. A few simple modifications, about $75, I was able to get the 0-60 time from 11.5 to 9.7.

Now if only I could get it to 6

I keep telling myself "the car's under warranty, don't turbo it" yet there's an extra wastegate sitting in my garage...
