Default Looking for someone near Salt Lake City

Hello Everyone

a little more then a year ago I started lurking the forums to gather info about the baja's and now I'm almost ready to purchase one ,problem is I have a small budget. I found a baja in Salt Lake City which I would like to buy but thats a big plane ride away from where I live, does anyone here come from that Area and would be available to give it a little look over? I've tried emailing the seller but besides telling me that it's still available and to go see it I haven't got much out of him.

Thanks
Alex

it may be hard to get someone in another country to take your intent to purchase seriously as there are so many "nigerian" scams out there these days... about buyers from far away willing to purchase, and ship or whatever.

if no one on here is in salt lake, perhaps someone on www.scoobytruck.com is

Yeah tell me about it, I was lucky enough when I bought my WRX a few years ago on ebay that the seller was really willing to work out the whole shabang with me. Hopefully I`ll be able to find something this time around too! I located a second one in California that`s in my budget and even more to my taste but I`m guessing it might even be harder to get someone from that area.

I`ll have a look on scoobytruck if no onw pops up here!

Thanks

Cool

I hope you find some help for that BAJA.
I was in Montreal this weekend, (had to go to Schwartz's, been longing for some real smoked meat sandwiches), and try as I may, didn't spot a single BAJA! Are they that rare in Montreal?
I did get quite a few looks at MY BAJA, I guess there aren't too many White ones up there!
Good luck, I hope you get what you are looking for!
Keep it under 90, folks!

Baja's are very rare in Canada and the Turbo model was never sold here.

Most baja's you will spot in Quebec are 2003's.. I usually see 2 or 3 of them per year and they are probably the same black/silver and yellow/silver baja I see over and over again.

When you see some for sale on trader, they usually go for a crazy amount and just never sell because demand isn't there. 15-20k for an 03 NA is about going rate. 3/4 are also automatic.. they tend to be listed for months and months .. I've seen some for at least a year.

I have the 2006 Canadian auto book and off the top of my head I believe they sold 80 Baja's in all of Canada in 2005.
