Default A "CLUNK" when backing up???

Very rarely when I leave for school in the morning I get a pop or a clunk when backing up. It doesn't happen the instant I move rather about 5 or 6 feet in reverse. The sound is definatly from the rear of the car. It has done it 4 or 5 times since I bought the car in October. I was thinking the drum shoes for the e-brake, but that would happen right away, not after 5 or 6 feet of backing up. Any ideas?? Also anyone HATE how your keys SLAP against the cheap plastic on the steering column. God I hate that.....

If it's a clunk, thunk, or creak....it could be the rear sway bar bushings. Especailly if you back up and turn slowly out of a drive way or on a uneven suface. Also could be the jack is lose or your tool bag is sliding around.

You can put a little foam adhesive pad from a bike helmet or a strip of black hook and loop tape "the soft side" right under the key hole to keep the key remote from hitting the column.
