about 220whp/185wtq on 91 octane, dynapack

not bad for a 2700lb car...

keeps up with lexus IS's (not the F) at least.

should i supercharge it??

Besides a K24 (torque numbers)... what else you have?

From a roll that would pull a stock STi easily (At least my 242whp 171lb/ft civic did)

Nice... Gotta love Honda Torque bands

Yes you should supercharge it.. !! Here is a link to my buddies H22a JRSC EG civic... Its super stupid insane to drive, VERY easy to drive and does a burnout through 4 gears down the 1/8th mile on street tires STILL running a 9 flat @ 88mph..

-Jerod
Its defiantly awesome to drive..

I sense sarcasm...

9psi of boost through a Jackson Racing Super Charger....

300/260 at the wheels with a gross weight of 2350 soaking wet..

Yeah, I know... but his doesn't have the stock motor. From experience I can tell that he's using a K24 by just looking at the torque curve. 2.0L N.A. motors can only produce so much torque... and 185 lb/ft atw is something they won't do. Also the lower redline (Since it runs a 99mm crank)

Not bad at all. Some good tires and I'll bet she runs mid 13s without a problem

Turbo has reliability issues.. and its more maintenance intensive. I'll supercharge this thing.

If i get 250+ whp/ 200+ wtq, with this car... i'd be plenty happy.

I pushed my stock k20a3 on my ep3 to 17psi on a greddy kit and snapped a rod around 320whp. I then put in a built K24A1 block with stock k20z1 head and the only thing it was good for was tire spin. If you ever make any real power on it youll miss AWD for sure and mine and my current suby are also paid off its a great feeling to have.

In completely OT news, I rented an '09 corvette z51 for a track day today.

That thing owns all. Didn't overheat one bit lap after lap in 100 degree heat. And the huge brakes did not fade either.

If I am not mistaken, the Jackson Racing Supercharger for this car is a roots type blower with no inter/after cooling, correct?

I had a 1ZZ Corolla that I supercharged with the TRD M45 blower. Roots type, no after/inter cooling options. Any day above 50 degrees and the heatsoak would absolutely kill the performance. From 50 degrees on, the power loss was exponential. On 80+ degree summer days it was nothing more than a noise maker, I **** you not. (Although a good one, haha.)

However, on cold winter days, it would spin first and second gear on the 4 speed slushbox.

Just throwing it out there for you, as you might find yourself disappointed with performance on hot days.

Did you race a IS300, or IS250? I know my 350 pulled a stock STI...
