Default Mufflers

So I was told by the nice guys in Milwaukee that I needed a quieter car for the next event. I heard two different standards based on who I was talking to but it's either 103 Db at 50 ft or 105 Db at 75 ft. Either way I'll admit that my car is loud and I don't want to be the cause of any complaints that would even begin to threaten use of a site.

So does anyone have any recommendations as to a 3" inlet muffler that would get me down below the 103 Db at 50 ft level without being overly restrictive or heavy? If possible cheap is also good.

Thanks guys.

I am thinking about a Burns Stainless Ultralight, but am worried that it won't quiet the car down enough.

Hooker max flow 3" in 3" out $67.99 from Jegs should do the trick. I've had one on my car for 5 1/2 years now, very free flowing and just quiet enough, sounds better than the thousand dollar exhausts.

Burns should do the trick as long as it's long enough.

can you just angle the tip down towards the pavement with a turn down or something? thats what a lot of road racers do

I've already got a turndown on the exhaust to point it directly at the ground. It is a 3" mandrel bent pipe from the turbo back to just behind the driver under the car.

I think a Burns will do the trick. Before my car was 94db @ 100ft but then I added one of their 12" mufflers and now i'm somewhere below 90db @ 50ft (haven't gotten anymore sound warnings at autox).
