Default Seat belt Chime

Did the search and tried the 20 clicks in 30 seconds to disable the chime. Didn't work for me ('06 A/T). Any suggestions?

Step 1. Sit in the driver's seat and close the door.

Step 2. Insert the key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position (but do not start the engine).

Step 3. Fasten and unfasten the seat belt 20 times within 30 seconds. Then, within 10 seconds, open and close the driver's door.

Step 4. The chime will sound when you start the car, but it will not repeatedly sound if the seat belt is not fastened.
Is this the procedure you used?

Default Yes it works

What I found on my tries is that you have to release to button for the insert / removal to be read by the computer.

I too tried this and cussed after many tries. Then I would plug in / push button removed / release button...... do again for 20 total, and it word. Hve done it on three Cars.

Definitely works. One of the first things that I did.

I know I'll get some heat for this, but if you want to disable your DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) also, see this thread...http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...1012964&page=2

Thanks scf, it worked. I think it was the open/closing door step I left out previously.
