Sounds good, I'll keep an eye out for it. Our office will be closed March 12-25, but will still offer eTunes during this time. The turn around time may not be as quick as usual, my guess is I'll be near email once every 3 days.

Bump for a great company with a very knowledgeable tuner that puts out awesome tunes

Had my Vf39 tune for 15k+ miles, and it's still going strong as the first day.

Will be coming back for my 20G build.

txsc2116 - assuming the car has gone through routine maintenance you could run one of the COBB off the shelf maps as a start. Alternatively, we could make you a custom tune specifically to your car. If you desire the custom map option then please read further details regarding our e-tune process:
http://www.iaperformance.com/product...oducts_id=2997

Let me know if there is anything I can answer along the way.

Stephen

Stephen is an amazing tuner! I have a VF39 with 565's and a crap load of bolt ons. He was able to get everything in sync and the car runs amazing! Boost comes on smooth, power is where I need it, and he was able to make reliable power! Fuel economy is pretty damn good too, even though I have a short gear ratio 5-speed. If you have doubts on e-tuning, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

So I have decided to get a e tune. But I have a question before getting it. I am only getting up to 10 psi at 2500 rpm and then it slowly goes up to 16-17psi around 5k is this normal. I have a 04 sti with
Vf39
Perrin lightweight pulley
Stock fuel pump and injectors
Cobb sf intake with a induction pipe.
Stock bcs
Srs turbo back 3"

It drives fine and I know it's making power fine because I'm boosting high in higher rpm and I raced my buddies sti at the track and I had good numbers against him and won. I already check for boost leaks and have replace intercooler pipes with mishimoto plus t bolt clamps. So I have not boost or exhaust leaks. My car only weights 3100 lbs.
Should I get a grimmspeed ebbs before the tune and see if you can tune to boost earlier. I'm really looking for a street able tune.

My location is charleston sc, so sea level.

johnblahuta88 = What tune is the car presently running on? It sounds like the car is running the stock tune based on the PSI curve.

The higher boosting in higher gears is due to boost creep, a bad thing for a care without a tune. The aftermarket turbo back exhaust decreased the back pressure, compared to stock, and the result is higher PSI in higher gears. Keep in mind, the ECU may not be compensating for this with the correct amount of air, in which case you could be running lean during those top gear pulls.

Aftermarket EBCS VS Stock EBCS
If you would like to run an aftermarket unit then now is the time, before tuning. The aftermarket unit will allow for a bit quicker spool response.

If you are ready to buy this week you, as well as every customer, can save 5% off this week:

I am running the stg 2 93 map rev 3.00.
The car runs great and it pulls hard. Its just wierd that im only hitting 10 but I can still beat my buddies that is hitting 17-20 psi at the same psi.

So just to let you know. I disconnected the hose on the wastegate to test the bcs and the turbo hit 17lbs before 3k. alot faster then I expected. Guess its my ebcs.

johnblahuta88 - the onset of PSI does sound a bit slow with the EBCS in place. You should see peak boost around 2900-3100 with a E-Tune and properly working boost control solenoid. I would suggest replacing your current one with a COBB or Grimmspeed unit. Take note, you will DEFINITELY need a tune with an aftermarket EBCS in place since the car will over boost otherwise. Through Saturday we are running 5% off all products. you could grab an EBCS and E-Tune and save right around $10. Check it out:

I plan on buying the ebcs and tune in sept or oct. I want to buy spak plugs at the same time which ones work best with the tune.

I'd go with the LFR7aix plugs, gap to 0.028". This NGK part number is also referenced as 2309. Plenty in stock if needed:
