Default Any info on this hood yet?

I know I've asked this before, a few months back, but I haven't been able to find anyone selling it. Syms doesn't show it on their web site and none of the Syms dealers seem to carry it. Anyone have any additional info? -Leland

This is really exciting to see!

With my FMIC installed, I've known that what I really need is a vented hood on my WRX, so that the air can be truly drawn through the engine compartment and properly extracted.

I just put this on my "wish list" to do sometime "down the road" when the funds are available.

Thanks for the pics and the posting here!

so um, wtlw for some, for others, vivid sells this, as does some other people (not quite sure who they are ) but its a nice overall kit. I wanted it too at one point, then I realized how much better those sideskirts and rear would match the zero sports's front.

I like those sideskirts better than my Zero/Sports sideskirts. But I'm really excited about the prospect of getting a vented hood on the WRX!

wop has been selling a wrc style vented hood for both the rs's and the wrx's... its c/f $980 I think... or is that not what you're looking for...

I would love to do the SYMS hood right away but looking at the cash flow and prioritizing the list of goodies (it's about 18 months long!) I decided to go with the Aqua Reverse Hood Scoop for the time being.

First and foremost is the functionality benefits for better air flow and cooling now that I'm running with FMIC and especially with the Summer coming right around the corner (well, here in Dallas it feels that way today, already in the 80's and muggy).

In the 2nd picture at the beginning of the thread you can see the FMIC in the front bottom section.

I'm not so sure about the front bumper treatment, but I sure do like the hood!

Speaking of which, the rear bumper (to me) actually looks good. I assume the two "openings" (at either side bottom of the rear bumper) are for airflow to help keep the rear end tucked down at higher speeds. But it sure would be cool to see dual exhaust coming out of either side through that.

And, the front quarter panels look like they might be vented at the rear on each side, which would be awesome, too.

Having said all of that, I do think it's pretty cool just to have these various alternatives in the first place. To each their own!

hood is tight...but with that kit makes the car look like a pontiac sunfire!

correct me if im wrong but arent those the aqua fenders? they are scweet!

I think the hood would look better without the rest of the kit though....besides the fenders they rock.

FWIW, Vivid does not sell this, or at least doesn't list it on their site. Does anyone know who does actually sell it and what the cost is?
