Default New Baja Owner :-)

Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2005 Baja Turbo. I finally found one with a manual it's very exciting.

Plans:
  • Nice set of brake pads (probably green stuff)
  • Fluid Flush on everything
  • 18g or 20g china turbo on it and shoot for 280-300 at the wheels.
  • Clean up the engine bay to it's once former glory.
  • Lower it a little, I'll probably try a set of stock outback GT wagon springs or 03 baja springs.
Side note I'm looking to part with the CAP if your interested shoot me a PM.

I see many a Rally Cross in it's future!

I'd hold on to the ARE Cap if I were you. It comes in really handy, but if you don't, you're going to make someone really happy as they've become rare/pricey.

Ooh, I want that cap. It's even the right color. Shipping would probably be outrageous though.

I'd like to keep the cap, but unfortunately I have no place for it. Also, I like the look of the BAJA much better without it. I know what your talking about for the price, I called a few places to get a quote for a price and they were all asking like $2500 for it unpainted. Which is borderline insane!

I can get you a quote if you can get me a zip.

An FYI on a new ARE - I just bought one in NoCalif. Brand new from ARE $1800 color matched, etc.. Heard they will discontinue making them later this year, due to low demand. I plan on keeping mine on, as they are a (#&$ to install and leak-proof. Will sell it separately when time to part with the Baja, as in checking around, it will hold it's value better as a sell-alone, rather than on the Baja. Anyway, that's the deal in this neck of the woods. By the way, I love having it!! Much mo' betta!

Wow, that's a great deal! I guess all the local guys here wanted to rake me over the coals. I just hope the paint isn't messed up under it.

They are custom built to order by ARE in Ohio, then shipped wherever. I may be showing my geographic ignorance, but isn't NH closer to Ohio than Calif? Seems like you might be getting hosed........check with other dealers, it might be worth driving a bit for a better deal. Good luck with you Baja!
