Default STI intake manifold onto a 2.5i non-turbo engine?

is it possible to put a STI or WRX intake manifold onto a 2.5i non-turbo engine? will it just fit into place / bolt on with out any problems?

it most likely bolt onto the block fine, but you're going to need custom work done to make your throttle body work for one thing. there might be other issues.

Which 2.5? SOHC? DOHC? Early, or late model?

You have to check the bolt pattern- the patterns are unfortunately different. You could tap a few new holes here and there, but it isnt a bolt on with the early ones, I know that one for sure.

Then it would fit but why would you want to do so? The stock 2.5i manifold is MUCH better. The design of the STI and WRX is a compromise due to the intercooler location.

you guys are all lost.
The 2.5i does NOT have TGV deletes. It is a one piece manifold.
Why on earth would you put a 2 piece manifold (WRX/STi w/tgv's) onto an engine designed for a single piece manifold? what possible benefit do you seek?
If it is about the red color, just paint your stock manifold.

Would there be any benefit to putting the 2.5i manifold on a WRX if you have a FMIC?

Why do you want to turbo your non turbo? Why not sell it and use the money to buy a WRX?

All yer gonna do is blow up the motor.

The subframe is not a big deal. It can be swapped out, just dpeends on your level of participation.
