Default Syms Racing Bumper for Hawkeye WRX/STi

Does anyone know if installation of the Syms Racing bumper (see link below) for hawkeye WRX/STi requires the removal of the entire front bumper beam? Or willl removal of the styrofoam portions fit the bumper? Thanks!

Given the size of the front air dam I would say its designed for the JDM bumper beam so yours would need to be removed or cut down to fit. You could also get a JDM bumper beam but its much cheaper to just cut yours down. Just get a FMIC and it will come with a new one.

The USDM bumper beam is super easy to cut if you have the right tools, I did it for my JDM fogs, it cuts like butter.

did you cut the metal beam itself or just remove the styrofoam part (see pic below in ebay auction for reference)?

i hope you are not referring to this? looks more like a support piece rather than crash beam. do you still have the ebay link?
