Default Will a Cobb Stage 2 OTS Map pass a Smog Test?

Has anyone Passed a Smog Test using a Cobb AP Stage 2 OTS Map? I'm trying to decide if I should reflash to a Base Map or if I would be okay to Pass using the OTS Map for Stage 2?

I'm not trying to determine if my setup would Pass a Visual Inspection. Only if it would Pass a Sniffer Test.

You'll get better responses by asking this in your regional forum...

I've heard of people passing with stage 2 and a catted downpipe. but it might depend on who does the inspection. If you do end up reflashing, make sure your car runs for a couple hundred miles or else you wont pass.

Don't mean to hijack this thread...but I do have a similar question...

I'm from San Francisco, CA. I plan on getting just the Cobb Stage 2 package on my 02 WRX. Will that pass smog without having to remap to the base map?

Well, I did pass while still running the Stage 2 OTS map on mine. I wasn't actually even close to failing with it (even though I was worried I would be). I think if I had done a few more things to help clean up my system I could have got the numbers down even farther. I sat with the RPM's up around 5-6K for a few minutes of driving (still maintaining normal freeway speeds) on my way to the Smog shop. I did that to help burn off any excess build-up in the system.

I'm running:
PDE Flex Up-pipe
Helix Catted Downpipe

I have other mods as well, but the catback exhaust portion won't make a difference on the Smog portion so I was only saying the mods I have that I think would affect my SMOG results. I had also just the week prior had a new panel filter installed.

I'll try to remember to pull up the numbers to show what I passed with. I really do think that if I had my car Pro-Tuned that the numbers would drop even lower as the OTS map supposedly runs pretty rich.

Here's the numbers for those that are interested, remember this is using an OTS stage 2 map for 91 octane gas (I run Chevron).

Idle
RPM - 728
CO^2% - 9.6
O^2% - 6.1

HC (PPM)
Max - 100
Ave - 17
Meas - 36

CO^2%
Max - 1.00
Ave - 0.00
Meas - 0.02

2500 RPM
RPM - 2484
CO^2% - 12.2
O^2% - 2.2

HC (PPM)
Max - 130
Ave - 12
Meas - 26

CO^2%
Max - 1.00
Ave - 0.10
Meas - 0.25

As you can see I really wasn't anywhere near failing the tests even with the OTS map. Now my car had over 116K miles on it when I tested it and I have not touched anything like the IACV or any sensors so I possibly could have cleaned those up or replaced stuff before going in and I would have been in even better shape. I also believe that once I get my car properly Pro-Tuned and it is not running as rich that these numbers should decrease.
