fyi if ur gonna be dragging, i would think ud want stronger gears than even the RA's. Im sure u could get a set of PPGs for around the same price as the 6 speed

just me .02

Hrmm PPG's are like 5k aren't they? Oh yeah I forgot it also comes with STI shifter linkage and bushings. Unless anyone wants to swap for their PPGS

I can vouch for this tranny. Driven it myself numerous times, shifts smooth, doesn't grind at all - feels very sturdy. I'd do the trade myself but unfortunately, my tranny probably doesn't have much life left :P

Definitely a good tranny for anyone looking for a 6 speed.

Aren't RA gears as short as the 6-speed 1-4?

Yeah, according to our mechanic the 6 speed isn't good for dragging because the ratios are so facked. We've also seen a significant difference in pulls from other WRXs with similar setups.

Unless you go with the 07 6 speed which allows you to trap in 4th gear. Given your turbo setup a 07 tranny would do nicely i would think. But in long run i wouldnt do this. RA gears are as strong as oem 04-05 wrx trannys FYI. During my quest of a stronger tranny thats the info andrewtech passed onto me.

04 WRX with ~52K, and I have 2 Questions:

What does this mean? Is there no physical way to connect a controller (harness is cut, wires pulled, things are missing and/or broken, etc...) or does the swap not come with any type of controller?

What does DPS charge to do this? Are they willing to do a package while both cars are there and up in the air?

I do not have any type of controller for the DCCD. If there is, there is a harnesses you could purchase Spider aftermarket control unit which can give you option for dccd, but you would have to program it into your ecu. I haven't exactly looked so im not sure if there are harnesses or not tho.

DPS would charge 600 per car. Price includes swapping rear diff.
