I live in Lancaster and drive up/down 283 and 743 to/from Hershey every mon-fri.

~7:10-7:35 AM on 283 W and anywhere from ~5:15-7:00 PM 283 E.

I see a white 08+ wrx sedan, a white 08+ sti hatch, a blue 08+ sti hatch, and recently I saw a '12 dgm sti turning off at fruitville pike, as well as a 04+ grey/black sti coming up/down 283.
I wave, but rarely get return waves though.

Default Where is there a good tuning shop in the Philadelphia Area?

Hey Guys, just wondering where there may be a good tuner installer shop in Philly or near. Cannot seem to make a connection with any clubs or good shops. Anyone know of any? Thanks.

Dave and the guys at FAST do great work. They're just outside Philly in West Chester. He did my Konis and RCE yellows, and I couldn't be happier.

FAST is a great shop. Dave and Roy are awesome.
They dropped my 2011 Forester on BC coilovers and did a bunch of other suspension work and also mounted/balanced some tires on my 04 STi wheels.

Still havent found a reason to get my new STi up to his shop for work yet but its been there for a few meets.

Definitely go to FAST if you are looking for some installs that go beyond your comfort level or skill. Unfortunately, however, they don't do tuning yet. Though, from what Dave and Roy say, tuning is in the plans for the future.

At the ace hardware in red lion today, I saw an old Subie. Not exactly sure what it even was. All I could see was "RX" and it was a 2-door. No, it wasn't an SVX.

Was there a Subaru "RX"? It had the factory decals saying "Full time 4wd", so it was pretty old. Even the star badge was different. Pretty cool though, I like older Subies.

I also saw a late 80s-early 90s Supra that clearly had some power upgrades. He pulled out from the Rutters and was spinning tires through 3rd gear. I could hear every time he shifted, the tires chirp.

PSI Proformance out of Lansdale and RT tuning do awesome work. Both did work on my car and everything was very professional. Cant complain

I'm not a big fan of RT tuning. Maybe it's just the newer subarus, but when I had my 2011 STi in there for installs and tuning they seriously messed it up. The tune was beyond terrible and the quality of the installs was below average. Then to top it off when they were done tuning they took it for a street test, during which the driver launched my car beyond aggressively out of the parking lot to beat out a 370 Z that just got finished being tuned on the 2 wheel dyno.
One of my buddies warned me about that shop but I figured I would go anyways since I had the appointment. I wish I had listened.
Don't get me wrong. They are nice guys over there and very professional when it comes to the ordering/billing side of things (they came in under estimate on my car) but I just wasn't happy with the quality of what I got.
In the end I'm sure a horror story can be found about any tuner but I just thought I'd share mine.

I was in the same boat as you...I ended up taking my car down to iag performance for an ewg install and protune session with jorge.

Assuming I keep my 2013 sti order, I'll probably end up doing tje same again.

IAG is amazing.
Only shop around thats worth the drive IMHO.
After RT Tuning killed my clutch and screwed up the tune on my car and kept dodging me on trying to fix the tune i went to IAG and they fixed everything in 1 shot.
IAG also did the window tint and taillight overlays on my current 2012 STi hatch.
They are great on prices and very professional from the moment you set your appointment through to when you pay your bill and drive off.

Have to keep my eye out. I am on those roads quite often but haven't seen too many subies around.

Stock 2012/13 WRB WRX Sedan in the lot between 12th & 13th street on E. Carson. I was parked next to you for an hour between 8 and 9 pm.
But since your car was still there when I left, you probably didn't see me.
