Angry I got egged, what's the best way to clean it!

The damage left a dent and chipped paint, there was egg everywhere. Any suggestions?

Really sorry to hear that happened to you. Hopefully you were able to wash it off relatively soon and that it didn't bake in the sun. Let's see what other members on i-club have to say on this. Hopefully somebody will have some good suggestions.

I'm pretty bummed. I washed it off as soon as I saw it, but it had the chance to bake for a while

You can try asking over at Autopia Carport . . . excellent detailing forum, and a pretty friendly place (that is, you won't get flamed for your choice of wax/sealant ).

Besides the chipping/dent, you should look to see if there is any etching of the clearcoat. If so, you may want to have a pro look at it, or you can try to remove the etch marks yourself with a swirl remover (Meguair's #9 2.0, 3M Swirl Mark Remover, etc.), or iif necessary a more agressive product such as 3M Perfect-It III Machine Glaze or 3M Finesse-It II Finishing material. Failing all that, the next step is a clearcoat-safe "fine-cut" rubbing compound. Some of these products really require the use of at least a dual-action polisher (orbital) like the Porter Cable 7424, or even a rotary (best left to the pros) to really work well; depending on how bad any etching is, you may want to try a paint shop or a pro detailer.

Good luck . . . drop me a PM if you think I can be of any more help, but seriously give Autopia a try. There are some guys over there that really know their stuff, as well as a few pro detailers that might be able to give you advice, too.

Tort

And BTW, a big monkey-middle-finger to whoever tossed the egg :monkey:
