Question legacy turbo motor

i have just accuired a j spec legacy turbo motor to throw into my 93 impreza L . Is my tranny going to bolt up to it or am i going to have to locate something else?

Depending on if it was auto or manual you might have to change flywheels. I think they both have the same bolt pattern though, well that might depend on years of the JDM motor.

You need to use the flywheel and clutch that matches the tranny.

Be prepared to buy a Turbo tranny in the near future, as the non-turbo ones are quite a bit weaker.

unfortunately i know that, but cash is tight and i just replaced the tranny that is in there. if it holds up with some non agrressive shifting for the summer, i will be happy

Ok, then just recycle the old clutch and flywheel. That way it will slip instead of puke tranny. Saves buying a new clutch that wouldn't work with a pull type turbo tranny.

Oh and you can find legacy Turbo transmissions for cheap if you have a few hundred extra.
