Default 08 wheels/tires on an 06?

Will 08 STI wheels work on an 06 STI for autoX use? The tires are 275/35/18 Hoosier A6's. My coilovers are Ohlins Flag's, ride height is 13.75 front and 13.5 in the rear.

I'm guessing some sort of a fender roll might be in order?

At the very least you'll need fender rolling/trimming/pulling.

I don't think those tires will clear the struts on the 06 at +55 first off. That means spacers, longer studs, and a lot of other crap. Next, your front fenders will need to be cut away in many areas in order to be able to turn the wheel. Next, your rear fenders will need to be cut and you'll have to fabricate something to cover the bare tire if you want to actually drive by a police officer.

I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 on modification required to fit those wheels where 1 is do nothing and 10 is custom fabrication galore, you're at a 9 point something.

they will not fit due to the high offset, especially with the ohlins.

you shouldn't have problems turning the wheel with a lower offset.

but really if you're going to run a 275 you should be on a 10" wheel, especially since this sounds like it's for autox only.

also unless you do some serious fender pulling you'll need to raise the car as the 275s will poke.

get some long wheel studs, some 18x10 +38mm RPF1s run a small spacer up front.

you can make it work.

def not a bolt on and go setup though, will require fine tuning camber, ride height to get optimum performance out of the 275s.

How To: Properly modify 05-07 GD rear fenders

that'll give you a good idea on what's required of the fender mods.

although, as said before, in short it wont work with the 08 BBS's without significant work (negating the point of going with the 08 BBS's).
