World didn't end, back to disagreeing with accord96.

Why run cobb with open source out there. No need to EVER run anything other than open source unless you are to the point you need to go aem/hydra/etc. Don't fall into the cobb trap!

Eh, AP is easier and more plug and play for us Scoob noobs. Plus I had COBB on my Mazdaspeed and I have a touch of brand loyalty going on.

Read: Lazy, scooby nooby, only mod is a S1 OTS map.

Edit: removed misinformation.

Famous last words! Break it in and get used to the car then your quite safe up to stage 2/3 levels as a dd car.

you cannot "program in" the cid/cvn numbers with opensource. whatever map you pull off your car keeps those numbers throughout the whole process

Because it's easier and I can do it without finding someone to flash a map for me.

My vote is with open source. I have learned a ton about these motors in the short time that I have been data logging. Not to mention the e-tune that I got from phatbotti allowed me to be a part of the process and see what changes were being made. Note: 14 revisions! It was tricky finding a good, safe place for 3rd gear pulls though. 795 between Franklin and the split after midnight during the week is a good spot.

I have this to say too all of you open source fans an Cobb ap fans. I can cut a great steak from the side of a beef or I can have it served ready to eat. Either way it makes a turd.

Move on to something else that is hopelessly debatable.
