Default what do I need to do to make these fit? I know nothing about rims/wheels lol

first off im sorry in advance lol i do not know anything about wheels/rims. ive focused on engine performance for the last 4 years ive had my sti and never looked into wheels/rims...so my question is what do I need to do if I want to fit some Enkei nt03 18x9.5 +40 on a 05 sti? And what tires do you think will help if the fitment? thanks

I've done 18x8.5 +48 with 235-40-18 tire w/o rubbing on 04 WRX. The 05 STi has alittle more room in the rear so I think you can go 245-35 and be ok. There should already be a thread with the info you need / just search.

i got ssr professors 18x8.5 47 offset on a 04 sti. running a little bit of camber in the rear. no rubs whatsoever.

You can fit wider tires if you get more offset (compromise on less wide rims). There are lots of good +45 to +55 solutions that are 8.5" wide. That is plenty for a 255 wide tire. That's about as much as you can go with minor work. You can fit wider rims with less offset but you will need narrower tires or more fender work.

It depends on what suspension you have. Coilovers (because of the firmness) will allow you to run a bit more. I ran 17x8.5 +48 with 255/40 tires a long time ago with no fender rolling and coilovers. I had about an inch gap or so all around.
