WRX VF39+E85 12.0, 121mph

Default 90 degree weather and drag = 12.142@115.47 VF39 E85

with a 1.842 60' lol. At least I beat CJ .

I got a total of 8 runs, 2 that I don't want to talk about . The car and the driver were really inconsistent, mishifted 3rd and still trap 112, and I think I glazed my clutch.

Runs sorted my time:

60' 1.825
330 5.130
1/8 8.180
MPH 82.20
1/4 12.695
MPH 112.17
I pick up 30 MPHs on the back

60' 1.842
330 5.159
1/8 7.845
MPH 91.15
1/4 12.142
MPH 115.47

60' 1.856
330 5.212
1/8 7.985
MPH 89.73
1/4 12.451
MPH 110.66

60' 1.794
330 5.177
1/8 8.008
MPH 87.93
1/4 12.526
MPH 109.37

After talking to some of the regulars, the track is supposed to be slow "Atlanta dragway" and is really hard to get traction. I run with 30 psi to 20 psi on the tires and I set the launch control from 5200rpm to 4900rpm and I couldn't get my 60' to come down .
The fastest street car was a C6 z06 and he run 12.0 at like 128mph.

My excuse is the weather and the track, + it was my very first time at the 1/4th

I will post slips and vids later.

glad you got out to the track, I am trying to get out myself, went to go Wed and it was rained out maybe sunday.

anyways feels good to go down the 1/4. the back 1/8th is the easy part man, maybe you need to practice a little more on that 1/8 track you ran 94 mph on

cheers
Matt

Ataboy Juan. Hopefully your car doesn't do what mine did. Go 12.1 @ 114 with a 1.88 60ft then go 12.0 over and over with 1.6's.

I think with better weather and a 1.6 you should be in the 11.6 - 11.7 range.

^you laugh but when I see a z06 at the track I'm willing to bet it will run a 12.8 @ 118mph. I've seen 4 or 5 run and they all run the same exact time/trap.

Nice job Juan!

The only reason he picked up 30mph on the back end is because he missed 3rd..

The car is crazy fast, and it was spinning like crazy of the line I got close to the wall a lot of times . My car was one of the fastest yesterday, the only car running close of my time was a C6 non stock with good tires he had an intake or a supercharger and his best was against me a 12.5 and I got 12.6 missing 3rd .

Nice job Juan!
It was a really, really slow track. I took a break for a little while and watch some car run. No one was in the 12 except the C6 and C6 Z06. There was a C5 Z06 running 14s .

Thanks man, you guys are going to enjoy the video, I beat a good array of muscle cars. Some really sick cars.

I think my clutch is Fked , I forgot that the ACT HD clutch was organic and I did 4 runs within 40 minutes so the clutch probably glazed, thats why the car kept trapping slower and slower during the night. I was actually watching the speedometer when I was going around a 100mph thinking to myself "WTF, go go!" Usually in the streets the car goes from a 100mph to 120mph in no time.

I will be back to the ROCK supposedly a fast sticky track when it cools down. Maybe with a better clutch .

Damn SUCKA! Beating me by 4 one thousandths of a second haha!

Nice time and nice trap speed, just hope it doesn't come down when you lower those 60ft times. Should be in the 11s for sure with a lower 60ft and some better weather, lets see those vids!

Congrats Juan, nice run and great trap! I checked out that strip and it is about 1,000'. On my old setup (which was very consistent), I lost 3-4 tenths going from sea level to 1,000' in summer weather. Can't wait to see what it runs in better conditions and post your results HERE too.

Good job Juan. I see 11s very soon in you future my man. I'd like to get out to the track myself but after last night taking a carload of friend around for a joy ride, I got to see my clutch smoke itself.

^^^eeeeek, i hate that...i did something similar to my brembo brakes with a bunch of people in the car..just didn't like stopping really hard with 4 big guys in it... it stunk of pads/tires

btw, i was just thinking about what kellygnsd said...if you have hella weight that has to increase the load..but if we never tune those load columns because we believe we will never see that much load.............what happens when we do see that load

good to know, next time I will drive to a track at sea level, and I will try to find some 17" wheels, instead of my 18x9.5

I added the video and the slips, Can anyone tell me what mustang is the one on the vid? it was supercharged, it looked sick. The GTO had and intake, the C6 had an intake or supercharger IDK. Good times

GL and enjoy
