Default I need someone to mount up my Block!

Anyone know of any mechanics or hell you guys in the houston area that will change out my block on my 2.0 wrx. It is the same block so it is a direct swap. My mechanic wants to charge me $700 to do it and I don't have that much money. Pls anyone who knows and can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

$700 actually isn't bad at all for that work, but ^^^ what he said ^^^. Personally, if you have time, I would learn to do it yourself, then get someone to help you.

Ok so $700 isn't bad. I would love to do it myself just don't have the tools to do it. Or place to do it.

I actually have a question to see if it is worth it. A rod bearing went out on the block that is on the car that is why I am changing the block. It should be fine if I just change the block correct???
Because one guy said it will just mess up again. I don't see how though.

Its impossible for us to tell you if its fine to just swap in a new block. We have no idea how the other components are... We dont even know if your talking about a long block, or a short block...

Therefore, nobody here can really answer your question...
