Default Baja speaker sizes??

So we finally got our Baja last Wednesday and freakin love it. Been looking for one patiently for a year now and landed a sweet deal on one.

2003 Black and Silver, 90K, AT, real nice shape, $7980.

So i want to replace the stock speakers and head unit but the manual doesnt say anything bout the speaker sizes. Anyone here know what they are?

Good thing you said that because that crutchfield site says 6.5 too. Since i'll be buying off ebay that really would have sucked.

Anyone know if the whole door card has to come off or do the speaker covers clip out?

I just replaced all of mine about a month ago and they were all 6.5".

And yes, the whole door panel comes off.

I don't know why my car ('06 manual, turbo) would differ from others. I had to use a roto-zip and enlarge the speaker mounting area in order to fit 6.5" speakers in my rear doors.

It's simple enough to pull the door cover off and check it out before you buy. your speakers.

I replaced the factory dual cone front speakers with a pair of Alpine coaxials and the difference was substantial.

Yeh im thinking of going for some Infinity Kappa Perfect components for the front and Infinity Kappa 63.9i or something like that for the rear.

Might even throw a Cerwin Vega 10" in the back.

All this might be on hold for a month or so now as it seems the Head unit will need to be replaced first. Randomly started turning off and then back on every now and again.

Last week i had to disconnect a terminal on the battery to reset it too because it just completely froze like MS Windows.
