Default FS CO : 02 WRX Midnight Black Pearl - 93,000 miles

I’m the second owner of the car; I purchased it in the middle of 2005 with 56,000 on it. This car was a lease return so it had been very well maintained prior to me getting it and was bone stock, never modified. When I purchased the car first gear was wounded and it wouldn’t go into gear unless at a complete stop. Burt Subaru on Broadway put a new 1-2 gear set in it as well as an oem clutch. Since I’ve been the owner I’ve changed oil, transmission and diff fluids religiously. I have used nothing but synthetic blend Valvoline in the motor every 3000 miles, I’ve used Royal Purple Syncromax or BG Syncoshift in the transmission every 30000 as well as royal purple in the diff at 30,000. Transmission shifts smooth and with no noise and has never been beat on. This car has zero race laps and has never had anything but the stock turbo on it. The car had a turbo-back exhaust and an up-pipe on it, that’s it as far as mod’s went. All the work has been done by either Troy or Kyle over at Suba Performance or by me. The mileage as it sits is at right now is 93,000. I own this car out-right so no issues dealing with having to work with my bank to pay off an existing loan. The transmission / rear diff will need a fluid change at 98,000 and I just had Troy and Kyle replace a bad wheel bearing at 93212. You'll be hard pressed to find a unmolested 02 in this condition.

Mod’s that will come with the car:
-Oem underseat sub
-6 disk cd changer
-10% 3m tint all the way around
-Kartboy short shifter
-STi titanium shift knob
-Prodrive blue springs on 06 struts (only 30k on them)
- 5 Rota SDR’s powdercoated flat black (will come with re-92’s or Yokohama YK520’s)
- will also include a set of stock rims ONLY - - - no tires
-Brembo slotted & cross drilled rotors w/ napa ceramic pads
-Infinity Reference 605cs 6.5 door speakers w/ tweeters and crossovers
-Kenwood excelon 5” rear door speakers
-Koji’d headlights (blacked out stockers)
-Flat black vinyl stripes on fenders (these can be removed by me if you don’t want them)
-Comes with a super stealthy kill switch

The Good
- Non smoker owned
- 04/05 oem radiator (No more crappy 02 radiator cracking, replaced at 90,510)
- Factory alarm installed as well as an aftermarket kill switch (can't start the car without engaging it)
- Car was extremely well maintained (always washed, waxed, fluids kept up to date, etc)
- Transmission only has 30,000 on it
- Clutch only has 30,000 on it
- Never had any more boost ran through it than stock (only stock turbo it’s whole life)
- Clear bra on hood/mirrors
- Clean carfax report, never been in an accident
- No track days..none. I’ve got a car I beat on at Bandimere, I don’t need two.

The bad:
-Car has a couple door dings as to be expected
- Windshield has a crack (Am in the process of replacing it soon)
- Very small scratch on trunk from ‘debadging’
- Plastic side skirt on driver side has a scratch from the previous owner, i'm guessing from a lift pad.
- There a trailer hitch mark on the front bumper from when some clown hit my car in a parking lot and left.
- Has a couple very small rock chips on leading edges of doors as well as on front bumper

Reason I’m selling the car is because I’m stepping up to a 04/05 STi once this sells. I'll post pictures once I clean it up. I will also have the car completely detailed before it is picked up from purchase by my buddy over at Murry motors.

Asking $11,000 obo

Thanks Pat

Has the timing belt been replaced? How long have the vinyl stripes been on the car? Is the turbo back exhaust and up-pipe still on the car?

I'd be really interested in this car if it was quite a bit cheaper. Why do you think it's worth $3000 over book value?

I'm not just saying this to crap on your post. I'm a serious buyer, looking for a bugeye in the Denver area.

Timing belt isn't due until 104,000 so no I have not replaced it yet. The vinyl stripes have been on the car maybe 2 months is all, they're easily removable, I do vinyl install as my job. The up-pipe will remain in the vehicle with the sale but the turboback exhaust will stay with me and go onto my STi.

Wheel's / tires are roughly 1000 bucks with brand new tires on them, the springs and new struts were 600. It's never been beat on EVER. Like i said NO laps at any race track period. The transmission only has 30k on it it cost me 1800 to get all that buttoned up. There isn't a better maintained and well kept bugeye in colorado I promise you that. Its nearly impossible to find a bugeye in this condition that hasn't had 4 different turbo's, meth injection, and god knows what else on it.

As I said the price is negotiable...i just threw a number out there that was recommended to me by the people who service and sell these cars daily.

Sure but they're also required to maintain them, which was all I cared about. I looked for a lease return for 6 months and finally found this one.

Haha yeah i just wish they came in the 6-speed 2.5 liter variety. Bugeye's are by far my favorite body style, Im not in love with the 04/05 look but i don't really have a choice if i want a sti below 20k.
