Question 19" rims with lowering springs...

so im in the market for new rims on my 02 WRX, had 18" that i got sick of pretty much, the style of them, and wanted to know if anyone on here has 19" rims on their WRX, and if so is it lowered? i have the tein s-tech springs so im concerned if the rims would fit or if they would just rub alot with tires? pics of your rides with the rims would be appreciated . did searchin and couldnt really find alot on it...

thanks.

yea there are not too many people that run 19s on subarus because they add a lot dead, unsprung, rotating weight.

anyway, the tire size is what is really going to matter. have you looked into the tires you would pick up for the 19s?

19s are just too big for Imprezas, esp on a GD.

19's??? Why? with S-Techs? Dude......just do a 17 and that is fine. It will look great and you wont have any problems with fitting or anything else.

ewwwww.

personally I think 17's look great on my bugeye. i think anything over 18 makes the car look tacky like some 14 year old kid thought "yo d00de imm4 put s0m3 20's 0n d4t b****!

thats just my opinion, its your car, your money, do whatever you please

You'll have to run a pretty small side wall tire. If you could get a 19x8, there is no reason you cant. Run say a 235/35/19 or something like that even if its lowered..(assuming someone makes a tire that size)

I have a set of 18x9.5 with 245/35/18's being shipped to me as we speak. I'm going to have to use camber bolts on the rear to give it more negative camber and roll the rear fenders to make them work..

Regardless they will still fit...

It's his car, let him do what he wants
I just hope he knows what he's doing; don't come to us if you find your handling sucks.

Though, I am NOT a fan of the large wheels with low profile tires and slammed suspension people call hella flush.

yea im not to up on the tire sizes really, need sum more education on that end, but ive seen a couple 04-05, 06-07 sti's with 19" rims and they look tight, but not sure if 02-03 WRX could pull it off... Seen some random bugeye with 19s stock height and it looked stupid in my opinion but it was pure chrome style rims, 'BLING BLING', but SVT Amateur STI looks good with the 19s on there. Well hears an old pic of my car w/ 18s.

then a more recent one a few months ago,

just wanted to get an idea what every one thought since i'll be getting a new paint job, body kit soon so the next step was the rims issue.. might stick w/ 18 since i can have a nice beafy tire on there with the roads torn up out here.

19in rims are 'BLING BLING' and so is a body kit.... chrome doesnt really matter since its already not too funcitonal.

I'm wondering how you got so many sponsors ? You must drive that thing like Steve McQueen to get all those companies to sponsor you. I'm jealous.
