Default Need Advice !!!

My 1999 Subaru legacy outback is overheating. i just changed the thermostat, and i thought i cured the problem but when i drove it(for about 20-30 min) it started overheating again. The coolant overflows through the reservoir and the top hose is hot and the bottom is cold. the fans turn ono. there is no smoke coming out of the talepipe, so i dont think its a blow headgasket.BUT im not really mecanically incline so i dont really know. could it be the water pump? ANY ADVICE, HELP, SUGGESTIONS PLEASE any help is positive help for me im stuck in limbo land!! THANK YOU MY SUBY COMRADEDS

Have you burped the cooling system? Do a search for the burping procedure and burp the system. If after it is burped correctly it still heats up, then check for leaks and do a combustion leak test to see if it is a damaged headgasket. Also if you can, do a collant system pressure test to test the cap is working correctly.
