Default 09 STI build 08-08 or 09 WRX Build 03-09

Does the 09 STI suffer from the same engine failure problem as the 09 WRX? The build dates on the two STI's I looked at were Aug and Sept 08?

If I buy an standard STI package, is it worth the money to add the Wheels and Brakes package?

not only is it 4k for brakes, wheel and TRANNY .... but your insurance will be higher... either way both are considered "sports cars" by insurance standards...

In all essence my car has a suspension that beats an STI and I've swapped in 08 STI Brembos, but it still isn't an STI nor will it be...

Even when I finish my engine work (VF52 EWG setup) it won't be an STI, it might be closer in power and performance, but it won't stack up...

There is so much more to the STI than just some flashy wheels and Brembos...

The whole car is a different animal, with the 6 Speed transmission and DCCD it is nothing to scoff at...

Is the 09 WRX a great car? Yes. Is it an STI? Heck no

Sorry but I really doubt it would be that much higher over an 08/09 wrx.

My insurance went DOWN going from an 07 WRX to an 08 STI

Reason?

Sports car + VDC vs. Sports w/o

Sorry for the confusion.

Terry
hahaha I am retarded. When you said build date I thought you meant you were sending the car in to be built.

yes, brakes and tranny alone are worth the 4k.

if you're trying to save money, just get an 08 STi
