Default K&N air filter recharger kit

Who carries these bad boys? Cobb doesn't have them on their website anymore, and I haven't had much luck finding them locally. The local auto parts places barely carry name brand oil most of the time, so something like this is beyond their understanding.

I got mine at Pep Boys. Any place that sells K&N should have them.

Pepboys for about $12 for the kit. I have an Amsoil filter but I used the K&N cause can't really find Amsoil dealers around here. It works though.

Thanks for the tips. Like I said, the parts stores out here don't have any selection at all. They haven't heard of K&N, or, if they have, they kind of laugh when I ask if they carry it. Anyway, I'll either order online or I'll check out the scene in Albuquerque this week when I'm there.

Thanks again!

Well, I'll be a monkey's a$$! Thanks, V6. I hope to find one at one of the fine establishments that have been mentioned here this week in Albuquerque, but I'll go for Cobb if they're all out or don't carry the stuff.

I get my filter today from local AutoZone for $41.46 + tax and they also sell recharge kit for $9.99 +tax.

I think it's not expensive.

but......I don't know how to open the airbox !

Is there any photos showing how to do this?

The air box is not hard to open but getting it open is hard! Just kidding. I had a hell of a time getting the metal clamps to come loose. Just PULL very hard. The clamps will detach from the lower part of the box with some effort.

BTW: You want to pull UP, as that is the way the clamps move.

If you still have trouble I can post some pics.
