Talking Help removing cam gear bolt!

I'm replacing the head gasket on my wrx and inorder to do that I have to remove the cam gear. I've tried impact wrench, that didn't work. Tried it with breaker bar with a pipe extension and I broke the 10mm Allen socket about 4 times now.
Is there another way to remove the cam gear bolts?

um leave your timing belt on to keep the cam gear from moving and breaker bar extension there is a pic around here of the timing belt vice gripped together so the 2 cam gears dont move. thats the best way to do it. or a actual allen key and some sort of device for leverage. sorry if this doesnt help

make several radial cuts on the 'skirt' on the bolt with a dremel and cutoff wheel
or chain drill the skirt off

remove bolt

and then replace the bolt

or

get a 6-8 FOOT----yes FOOT long pipe for your breaker bar and apply slow, ever increasing pressure to the system until the bolt comes loose or you do the above

I saw a master tech at the dealer cut the bolt and replace it because it wouldnt budge otherwise

there is NO WAY to do this on the AVCS cams as there is no 'flat' on the cam to hold them
