Hey thrash, from one MAIC'er to another. Very nice. I like it. Im doing the same to mine. I bought the Seibon grill that has no front emblem. Ive had my stock grill lying around and have the pink "I" badge that ill be putting on the stock grill when im done. My theme for my car is Black and Silver. Wondering should i leave it black like my seibon one, or paint it PSM.

Thanks! Its kinda hard to say based on a description...maybe post a pic of your car with the grill that you want to use and that would help with opinions. If someone is feeling generous, they might even p-shop it for ya.

look great... I have an '04 & am in the middle of extensive repairs. I once found an aftermarket grill I liked, now can't find them anywhere... you've inspired me to do some playing around. I have (2) good '04 grills, so I can play with one & see where I end up.

Great job!

Well thrash, heres what I have so far. Just been hacking away with my shears and dremel. Im at the sanding point now. I have to use a hair dryer to remove the stock badge. Im going to re paint it a fresh coat of black. Then as you can see the pink "i" badge, that will be put in place of the stock badge. Also purchased the gutter guard for the grill. I think its starting to come along nicely.

Looks like its coming along nicely. Be careful sanding around some of the old mesh connection points - there's not much material there. I agree with others, I think painting it PSM would be awesome. I sort of ran out of gusto with mine, and after I painted it black and it looked good, I just left it. However, IF you decide to paint it black, consider the same paint that I used, or use Plasti-Dip. The black paint I used is in this thread somewhere and it matches the other black plastic on the front of the car quite well. Plasti-Dip worked very well for me on the mesh screen. Keep us updated.

Wow, that's quite a compliment, especially considering some of the amazing bugeyes that have been put together over the years by fellow NASIOC members. I've certainly enjoyed it over the last 7+ years, and I intend to hang onto it as long as possible and continue to work on it and upgrade it over time.

Well Im basically finished now. Heres what I did. Thinned the black off the subaru emblem, then painted it to match (PSM)

Then Sanded and painted the grill matte black. No mesh behind grill and it looks damn good. This is just a cell phone pic, ill take more later.

^^^Thanks! I have considered doing yellow film on the foglights, but just never pulled the trigger on it. As for the lower mesh, I considered that too, but with the CUSCO bar in there I'd rather leave it open. Yours looks very nice though.
