Default changed plugs and air filter = less hesitation

My air filter was filthy so I bought a K&N drop in and figured why not buy some new spark plugs while I'm at the auto parts store. I got some NGK's, part number BRKE6-11 or something. So I put in the new filter and take out the old plugs which were actually the same exact ones I was putting in. I have no idea the last time they were changed but they looked kinda grungy. Changed everything out, did an ECU reset and tried some WOT runs.

Car idled quieter and was less jerky between shifts. Power delivery felt smoother, but not any greater. Now I'm not sure if the car runs smoother because of the new air filter or new spark plugs or both. Overall, it was worth the hassle to have my car drive less crappily.
