Default Repair Manual?

Normally I pick up a Chiltons or Haynes manual when I buy a car. The info isn't always the best, but it's better than guessing for the most part.

It looks like these 2 companies don't carry a book for the Impreza...maybe I'm just missing it or do you guys just use a FSM (factory service manual?)

I don't have an owner's manual or anything so I'm shooting in the dark right now. Been about 5 years since I've touched a Subuaru.

Or you can go here: http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/referenceHome.jsp

And on a weekend when you have a lot of time free, pay $35 dollars for a 3 day (72 hour subscription) and download a ton of PDFs. For the 09 Impreza/WRX (including TSBs and a few other random docs) it was about 770 files. They limit you to 50 downloads per hour, but it took me about 8 minutes to grab 50, then I'd get lost for 52 minutes and come back and download more. Took a while, but it is well worth it, I think.
