Question 04-05 WRX OEM spoiler on a 05 RS2.5?

Hey guys

I just wanted to know if a OEM Lighted Rear Spoiler would fit in place where my spolier is right now.. or would I need to drill my own holes.

I was looking at one like this.. just to give you an idea.

the link shows an STI spoiler, your question/thread tittle leave me confused

if you have a wrx winged trunk, you have way too few holes for an OEM STI wing (around 17 holes if I remember correctly) and in that case drilling would be optimal

have you considered trading trunks with a member with the same color? That may be the easiest option depending on what is available in your area

No need to be sorry whatsoever, just making sure I understood your question correctly so I didn't ramble on about irrelevant things.

I don't know what type of budget you are working with, but it may be worth contacting your dealership to see how expensive it would be to buy a new sti trunk. You may also be able to find one for sale in the classifieds so you won't have to swap away your current trunk.

lastly, I can't find any particular thread right now, but it has deffinetely been done before, so if you are feeling handy go for it! The only reason I am putting forth the other alternatives is because personally I like to avoid drilling into my car, not that there is any problem with it.

Good luck and let me know if you still have any questions regarding this manner

Thanks for the help! Im not looking to spend an arm and leg but I would love to have one on my car...And I would say you are right about just switching the trunk to a STI with the wing all ready on it.. just hard to find my color.. silver (O1G). The dealer ship would charge me an arm and a leg that is for sure lol. Ill keep my eyes out, thanks again!
