Default 2009 wrx 298 hp 355 tq

22.6 Psi @ 3700 rpm, today protuned at Church Auto. (Dynapack, about 40 hp lower than flywheel hp on awd cars per the website)

355 ft lbs @ 3363 rpm.
298 hp @ 4690 rpm.

I'm wondering why I peaked at so low in the rpm band? I made apprx. 277 hp at redline.

Boost tapered to about 16 psi at redline.

2009 WRX wagon

mods:
AEM CAI
Perrin TMIC
Cobb Catted DP
SPT exhaust
Walbro 255 fp

I don't know very much about tuning at all, but Shawn said I might possibly be able to hold boost a little better with a pill modification, but the turbo seems to be running out of breath up top. Overall, car seems much faster. It gained about 50 tq and 30 whp peak over the COBB OTS map.

Thoughts?

And my scanner is down so I'll have to get it scanned later.

jump on a set 850 cc injectors, run e 85 and up the boost you'll see even more power.

Shawn Church. Dynapack. You probably peaked early because the stock turbo is small.

Thanks. It all depends on if I get used to the power and get bored of it, then maybe I'll go FMIC with something bigger.

Going faster may be trouble though. I'll have to do some thinking.

gains weren't terribly bad though. i'm imagining on a dynojet maybe 285 whp and 340 qt.

I do have a question though. I hear a fluttering noise under full boost. It's not super loud, but it is audible. I know that's not much to go by. I'll do a datalog today/tonight and post it.

It's ~10% lower depending on setup for dynopack vs. dynojet (mustang dyno's FTW). So I'd guess your #'s would be closer to 270 whp and 320 wtq. Still not bad though considering!

Flutter? Like your WG is going spastic trying to keep up w/ boost demands? It may be normal...hard to tell without being there or seeing logs/both. GL tho! (EDIT: 22.6 psi...eek...seems a bit high to me. No meth?)

High boost for stock injectors but not 'too' high for the turbo considering its essentially a VF39/43 with a LGT/09WRX Compressor cover.

22.6 PSI peak; which doesn't mean he is running 22.6 PSI at redline. Peak boost numbers really have nothing to do with the required size of injectors, boost at peak HP is a better indication.

Just saying full boost by 3700 seems very late.
