Default kyb agx for gc8 on 02 wrx sedan?

i bought some used kyb agx struts from a member on here, the rear strut part numbers matched up with the wrx part numbers, but the fronts came back for 93-01 impreza struts, will these fit my 02 wrx sedan?, any help is appreciated.

I believe it will fit, but you have to use the GD top hats.

That's how the GCs are, using GD struts, but have to use the GC top hats.

AFAIK they will fit fine with your original 02 springs and tophats - lots of 02-03 wagon folks used that exact combo (GC front / GD rear) to work around the camber loss associated with GD sedan struts on the narrower track of the GG. On the GD, you *should* pick up some negative camber in the front.

The stance may be a little bit 'off' - not sure the GC strut length / lower perch location is exactly the same - but I may be talking out of my arse on that.

Camber-wise, you'll end up about the same as the sedan. Back in the day people thought that using the GC struts on wagon would be fine because of the similar front track. They were wrong. The lower clevis holes are in different locations up front, with the GC's being pretty close to where WRX sedan holes are. So, no benefit there. The rear's were even worse. Using the GC strut on the wrx resulted in massive amounts of neg camber. IIRC the lower spring perch of the GC front was lower than the WRX. Not 100% sure on that.
