OMGHi2U SS26 prerelease complaints

Ok, so I have already stated that I will NOT renew my subscription due mainly in part to not getting my magazine on a regular basis.

So, now the next question, for the remaining issues on my subscription, is Subiesport going to start issuing refunds for those missed issues?

Please don't tell me that I can get my subscription online because that is NOT what I paid for.

Is Subiesport a vendor on here? Just wondering, maybe we could ask in the vendor forum since they never check their own.

Just as an update, I've emailed them asking them to come in here and post some sort of update and let everyone know what's going on. Hopefully we'll get a response as quickly as possible.

Hey everyone. When your nose is to the grindstone, sometimes you forget to take a break and see what's going on in the rest of the world. So, let me help by getting readers in this thread caught up. (We posted similar info last week in a thread in the General Forum)

First, we've never been good about monitoring this section of NASIOC. We should do a better job with it, but we think our magazine work is a higher priority. We have several channels for communication, including our Twitter (@subiesport) and our support forms. Those are always better since they are automatically routed to the correct person for prompt response.

Second, we posted a couple weeks ago an update on Subiesport.com. I think it states pretty clearly the current state of the magazine. Things are tough (lots of other magazines going out of business), but we're surviving and we're doing some things that are unique and I think our readers will really appreciate once the new issue starts to land in people hands. Which we've stated is early July. In fact, we're locking the issue today and sending it off to press, so that was a pretty close estimate. We had some final advertiser layout changes to get wrapped over the weekend.

Take a look at our recent post (http://www.subiesport.com) and then give us a chance to get this issue to you. Like everyone, we're doing what we can with far fewer resources. There is no magic bullet, but we're putting in the overtime to get things back on schedule. We did, after all, produce almost 5 years without missing a beat. Please forgive this temporary slip in the schedule. We're doing our best to make it up.

Cool.

I am sure you guys are working hard, but from a consumer standpoint you have to understand our frustration. Thanks for the updates, and hopefully this new format will be a worthy investment.

Ricochet,

If you are not going to monitor this forum, you should ask the moderator to change the title: Subiesport Magazine Official Forum
is misleading.

If vendors don't deliver goods aren't they banned from advertising on here?

"Drive" magazine is about as thick, is free, and you can at least count on it quarterly.

If history is any indication the term "it's gone to press or it's at the Post Office means you can expect it in 4-6 weeks" I'd like a refund as well.

Guys,

The Admin staff needs to be notified if you have grievances, use the report post icon (triangle with exclamation point) or pm the moderator of the forum (Nick and Ricochet)

I have no powers here.

Are we going to be reimbursed refunds for missed issues? While I understand that many businesses (magazine publications included) are going under, you cannot neglect your obligations. We paid for a bi-monthly publication and are not receiving that. We were told that the next issue would arrive early July and we are now about to go into the third week. Either provide products or refund your customers.

I just want to put my 2 cents in about the editorial content of SS. I have zero interest in reading articles about guys with unlimited funds putting everything under the sun on their car.

I am much more interested in articles showing what mods really work and what is overpriced junk.

I've decided I'm keeping my subscription untill I die, or Subiesport dies,

It sucks that they can't rock it like they did when they were 21, but neither can I! We all have our hard times, and when hardtimes come you find out who your friends are... and who the fickle fairweather fairys are.

I'm not a fairy, I will be a friend, but..... I want my magazine and I want it for the next 20 years.

nuff said.

Default subiesport? more like doobiesport...

Because you folks have got to be smoking something to have declared a release in early July. You've been so absent that I've had enough time to figure out that cars (in general) aren't even that important anymore, let alone some magazine that drips over them. You've been gone so long that the whole industry has flipped on its head. You've been gone so long that I can now get four grand from Gramps Obama for my broke down justy (maybe).

Oh, and you can report on those things if you want, because I don't think it matters what's in your magazine anymore. Here's the thing, subiesport fans are either ticked off beyond interest or still captivated, so whatever you put in there (crap or not) will have the exact same fan base (aka return customers) as if you had worked 5 months to put out a subaru bible of epic and historic significance.

From the SubieSport site...

"Still assembling new issue. I think folks will dig it, but each issue takes extra assembly. All copies will ship soon. Thanks. "

Gotta love how they said that it would be out the beginning of this month...
