Default Open Down Pipe + PPGS

I was bored and made a video, because I couldn't find one like it.

Loud, but lots of fun

Note: The "fast" part is at an airport on an empty street.

To answer some questions before they are asked:

Pros:
  • People can't speak on their cell phones when next to me.
  • It sounds like a rally car (well not really, but it's loud as hell).
  • Scares away your typical rice burner.
Cons:
  • The neighbors hate me (not literally, but i'm sure they would get sick of it quick).
  • Long drives aren't possible, because of the persistent droning sound.
  • Attracts lots of attention.
Mods:
  • STI TMIC
  • SPT Short Ram Intake
  • VF34 Turbo
  • Grimmspeed EBCS (not installed yet)
  • Maddad ceramic coated headers
  • Unknown 4inch downpipe (tapers to 3.5) with unknown exhaust
  • TiC Front Fender Braces
  • Front/Rear Cobb Sway Bars
  • TiC Tranny Crossmember Bushings
  • STI controller arms
  • Slotted/Drilled rotors
  • Wilwood BBK 6 piston front / 4 piston rears
  • Prodive PFF7s
  • STI spec C interior
  • Megan adjustable coilovers
Next Mods:
  • PPG front/center diffs, haven't decided on a rear (open to suggestions)
  • Built engine. Also open to suggestions. Ultimate goal is 450whp.

Pictures are so 2005, he has video.

To OP, I love this post. My straight pipes do much of the same thing. I get to be that ******* that makes so much noise, people next to me in traffic roll their windows up or can't hear their own music, ahhahahah

the gears sound wack yeah. in my car i cant hear my exhaust over the gears its kinda wack. but you get used to it. i suggest getting a beater if you are going to keep them though. long drives are bad and you lose a lot of hearing.

Wow, lots of whiney little girls on this forum.

Did I say the car was anything special? I was just trying to share some audio of a setup that I haven't heard on here before. I'm 22 and can't afford a $100,000 rally car. Sorry if it doesn't meet the expectations of those who expected more.

i've ran a straight pipe for about two weeks before without any problems. got pulled over once, said it was an exhaust leak and i would get it fixed. got let off.

why did i take it off? cause my friends hated riding with me. too bad...i plan on putting it back on hahaha.

btw love the ppgs.

Doesnt sound terrible, but then doesnt sound great either IMO. :| I drove without any catback before. made my car shake like a can. everything was vibrating. Then again it was only louder for me cause the downpipe ends right in the middle of the center console XD
