Default fish-mobile is SOLD

It pains me to tell you all this, but I sold my car finally.

Good news is you all can still bask in it's Garnet Red Pearl awesomeness, because a fellow AKIC member was key to this happening. I think Marshall Carter pestered his brother about it so much he just decided to shut Marshall up and get it.

AKIC member "retrac" is the proud new owner of my baby. I will be Subie-less for a while, but you can still wave or throw a peace sign to whatever vehicle ends up with my plate (FSH4FD) on it.

Hopefully in a year or two I'll be back sporting a new subie. I'm already eyeing the new diesels if they make it over here......

Already? You've had it like, an hour....

Stage 2 diesel...I dunno, these little diesels can push some power. They are pretty impressive sounding little engines. And of course torquey.

Try this:

That was late last winter when we got dumped on in a night. Just having fun in an unplowed lot. Nothing extreme or even high-speed...lol. It's like slow-mo drifting in snow that deep, but fun anyway.

I was all distracted today with the loss of my car and all....all disoriented and grieving a little bit....

Plus, going over Craigslist looking for the replacement. Made an offer tonight...don't want to jinx it with details, but it's nice.

The cops are still holding that as evidence....

Yep, they are bright. I tended to not run the fogs if I was just driving around town. They aren't focus-beamed, so all that light was a bit too much for oncoming traffic. They are great on dark, lonely roads, though.

Retrac--let me know when you want to get the winter tires and brake pads from me. I think I left you a quart of oil in the back under-floor storage area, also.

If you have any issues with the starter, talk to 2nd to None....they guarantee for life and will work on it if it fizzles out on you. Or so they say.

I also have a couple of the normal low-beam bulbs if you want to revert back (I'm guessing not). Otherwise I'll try to find someone to give them to.

Oh...and I have this semi-useless plastic under-carriage quasi-skidplate but not really protector thing that tore off in the snow. It seems to serve no useful purpose, but you can have it if you want it. Just needs a bunch of new poprivet things to attach.

I work until 6 tomorrow, but after that is cool. I have new wheels now, too. We got that Denali...man it's nice.

That 6.0L can really move, too. Gonna have to watch that or I'm going to get about 5mpg.
