Default WTB: Turbo Baja low budget

Hi guys,

I`m a Canadian looking to Import a Turbo Baja from the USA.
I have a low budget of maximum $10,000 US (once imported that will cost me around 15k with the taxes, duties, exchange rate etc).

If anyone is looking to sell or knows someone who is looking to trade in their Baja`s please let them know I`m interested.

So far I have only found 3 baja`s in my price range however I`m having issues with them since one is automatic, one is red and silver and the last which was perfect has a salvage title.

What I require:
5 Speed

What I prefer:
Exterior color Blue or black
Leather/sunroof/AC
Towpackage

However I`m opened to all offers, for now I have an interesting red and silver baja but I`m having a hard time getting used to the color blend.

I`m opened to all area`s of the USA however I am closer to the North East. I can fly down with a few weeks notice or drive down fairly quickly if you are close.

I cannot Import a Baja with a Salvage title, if I could I already would of bought a baja.

Thanks for your time **Crossing Fingers**
Alex

I know dealers usually offer about 10k for them on trade in so I`m hoping to find a kind sole qho wouldn`t mind selling it to me instead of trading it in to a dealer.

If not I might just end up buying the one I found with the paint I`m not very fond of ..

I really wish the black one I had found wasn`t a salvage or else I would of bought it, I had already planned my day off to fly down next weekend to pick it up but the carfax report cancelled all those plans.

I guess what helps me a bit is that I`m not picky on the total miles .. so that should help in the long run.

Good luck and drive safe!
Ti was a great buyer. We had a couple minor speedbumps that were out of both of our control but he communicated a ton and it all worked out. Hope you enjoy it! Pics please!

hahaha nice, that will be what .. maybe the 4th imported Baja into Canada :P However having traveled the nevada before, depending on which city the Baja's from, I'm not sure you will beat me in mileage :P. Whats the scoop on your new Baja?

As for an update on mine... I cleared Federal regulations yesterday ... I have my provincial safety inspection left.. this might take a bit more time before I'm all legalized and ready!

the odometer has 17947 miles............I can't wait. The colour is the two tone grey and silver. My wife and I fly down Saturday into Reno to pick it up and will drive south to Vegas and then over to the Grand Canyon on the way back.

The provincial inspection should not be difficult at all. I had no issues with my first. Did you get the manufacturer recall clearance letter (do you need that in QUE)?

Oh by miles I meant for the trip, not for the actual car :P

So you're telling me you're picking up the same color Baja I picked up and that I will no longer be unique up north .. what a bummer :P j/k

Yeah I got the Recall Clearance letter, thats a RIV requirement not Provincial. I passed my RIV requirements on monday it's fairly simple .. they look for a recall letter, daytime running lights, child tethers (the child seat thingys) and they take the mileage and tire pressure info.

I'm due for my provincial inspection now thats where the check out everything on the car from brakes, tires, suspentions, steering system, lights, horn, wipers .. etc the car really has to be in good shape to pass it.
