Would this wheel size fit a turbo Baja?

Alright here's the deal.. I`m really a noob when it comes to wheels. I`ve tried reading topics on Nasioc that talk about offset and sizes however I just can grab the concept and I get very confused with the + and the - and then the tire ratio.

I have a 2005 Turbo Baja.

Would this fit?
18X8
Offset +48mm

On the same note, the website (tirerack) recommends 235/45/18 .. does this sound right?

Finally does anyone know how much the stock wheels weigh? These aftermarket rims weigh in at 24lbs, I wonder if this is an upgrade or downgrade weight wise.

+1 fitment you up rim size 1 inch
+2 means you up rim size 2 inches ** your question is about a +2 because your stock OEM rims are 16" right?
16" ---> 18" = +2 fitment

the tire size 235/45zr18 sounds about right. what you could do is look up the specs and see the diameter of the tires . you might want a taller tire? a 235/50r18 but that is a weird size.. a 245/45zr18 might be too wide to be a winter tire..

the tire width, 235mm, is about 9.25" wide so the rims being 8" it should be a good fit.

and i think youll have more total weight with the 18" fitment (meaning less handling from reading the forums here) most metal alloys weigh more then synthetic rubber and synthetic cord . which what the sidewall is mostly made of.

idunno about rims much but im figuring if you need a spacer because of non stock offset i wouldnt buy it .. jus another part to lose/crack/buy/etc know what i mean?
